ABOUT ELISE RUCKER

Elise was born in Dallas, Texas where her love for the arts began to take root. With every field trip to a professional production and summer spent at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, her passion for theatre grew tremendously. When her parents finally asked, "Well Elise, what are you going to do with your life? Are you wanting to become a doctor or a lawyer, by any chance?" young Elise answered, "Nah, but I think I want to play one on TV."

The now Cincinnati-based actor received her BFA in Acting from West Virginia University in 2019, where she was trained in Comedia, Meisner, Stanislavsky, Clowning, Viewpoints, Suzuki, Laban, Linklater, and Fitzmaurice. In addition, Elise has basic training in ballet and tap.

While she loves contemporary works, a special area of focus for Elise has always been Shakespeare and classical text. Outside of her undergraduate studies, Elise completed the Shakespeare Intensive at the American Conservatory Theater, and trained at the Stratford Academy affiliated with the Stratford Shakespeare Festival.

In Cincinnati, she performed in the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company's Touring productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream (Helena/Titania), Macbeth (Lady Macbeth/Witch1), and Romeo & Juliet (Friar Laurence/Paris). After making her Mainstage debut in a new comedy at Playhouse in the Park, Elise went on to perform in their Off the Grid series as well as serve as a Teaching Artist for their annual summer camp. Elise is represented by Heyman Talent Agency as an actor & model and has appeared in commercials, print ads, promo videos, and an indie film!
